I think portraits are fun. I Love how you can just capture the people and their personalities! You can especially see they fun in capturing personalities in the last image.

Week 5: Night and Light

I enjoy doing photos at night or with light. I think it was really fun to do the light painting photographs. Also while I was at home this week in Arizona there happened to be a thunderstorm off in the distance so it was fun capturing that. I also took a picture of the snow a while ago before the sun came up. It was still dark but the coloring that can come out at that time is amazing, nothing you could get during the day!

Week 4: HDR

Here are my shots for HDR. I think this is so neat and I definitely want to try this again. One thing I would do differently is make sure there wasn't wind if taking pictures of plants. You can see some movement in my photos, plus I probably need to make sure they line up perfectly. It was fun!

Week 4: Bannack Best/Old Photos

The first seven images are from Bannack when I went with my roommate last fall. I couldn't go on the trip this time so I have these images and three new images I took of older things in Preston. I just have to say I tried to find some interesting older buildings, but nothing beats Bannack. Its a great place for shooting!

2. Edited: I used an adjustment layer with the screen blend mode to lighten the bottom half of the image. I also changed the opacity to 42% and then used the black paint brush on the sky to bring the original back into the image.

I think what I enjoyed most about this assignment was taking photos of animals in a new way. I think what most people do is they try to get the whold animal in the picture, but I found it more interesting to take close ups on just parts of the animal. It really makes it more interesting and detailed.
